PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization oven capable of saving combustion energy through utilizing the autocombustibility of feedstock. SOLUTION: The carbonization oven has the following structure: A drying chamber 12 and a carbonizing chamber 18 are provided at the upper and lower parts respectively. The drying chamber 12 is provided with a feed port 52 for carbonizing feedstock and an exhaust port 28 for incomplete combustion gas along with a feedstock feed-in means 24 with agitating function. The carbonizing chamber 18 is equipped with an ignition port 30 for the feedstock, a drawing port 35 for carbonized material, an agitating means 18A and a temperature sensor 32 along with a blast means 34.
