PURPOSE: An operation control method of an air conditioner is provided to inform a user of the current operation state of the air conditioner and the current room state. CONSTITUTION: An operation control method of an air conditioner comprises steps of answering the telephone from the air conditioner when there is a call form the outside(200¯206); detecting room state information according to the operation of the air conditioner(209); providing the detected room state information to a user(212¯215); and ascertaining the current room state by an audio signal and controlling the operation of the air conditioner(217¯227). The operation control method of the air conditioner further includes a step of providing the operation state information of the air conditioner controlled from the operation control step to the user by audio signals(230).
