PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet forming mold from which a translucent base material can be smoothly released and which does not cause poor appearance in the molded optical member and is at low cost. SOLUTION: The sheet forming mold 100 having a fine structure comprises a forming mold 11 and a back plate 30 having an inlay portion 32 in the circumference of a base plate 31. The forming mold 11 and the back plate 30 are fixed to each other via an adhesive layer 21, and the gap between the forming mold 11 and the inlay portion 32 of the back plate 30 is sealed with a filling material 41. Molding is conducted by using the sheet molding mold 100.
