PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 3-acylaminosalicyclic acid amide derivative capable of being industrially advantageously synthesized, having a sure effect, capable of being safely used, and capable of being used as an agricultural and horticultural bactericidal agent. SOLUTION: This 3-acylaminosalicyclic acid amide derivative expressed by formula (1) [R<SP>1</SP>is H or the like; R<SP>2</SP>is H or the like; R<SP>3</SP>is a 1-12C alkyl or the like; R<SP>4</SP>is H, phenyl which may be substituted or the like; and A is expressed by formula (2) (X is O or S; and R<SP>5</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>are each phenyl which may be substituted, a 1-8C alkyl or the like) or formula (3)] and the agricultural and horticultural bactericidal agent containing one, two or more kinds of the derivatives as active ingredients are provided, respectively.
