<p>A system model for overcoming problems arising due to fraudulent Internet web site copying, otherwise known as "site spoofing", by providing a method of connecting a first terminal to another terminal hosting a web site over a network using a web browser. The method including the step of causing the web browser to consult with a storage system, known as a trusted third party system, to check the security status of a required site. The browser determines whether the site is registered with the storage system as a secure site.</p> |
