PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus in which an operating section can be mounted easily to the enclosure of a main body by deciding the optimum position and direction of the operating section in accordance with the attitude of the enclosure. SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus 1 has an endoscope 2 provided with a long and narrow inserted part 20 having a curved section 22 that can be bent freely on its front end side, the operating section 24 that can bend and operate at least the inserted part 20, and the main body 4 having at least a power-supply section. The endoscope apparatus 1 is also provided with a mounting section 50 with which the operating section 24 can be attached detachably to the side section of the enclosure 10 of the main body 4. The mounting section 50 is constituted of a enclosure-side mounting section 51 to which the operating section 24 of the endoscope 2 can be attached detachably and an operating section-side mounting section 52 detachably attached to the mounting section 51. The mounting section 50 constituted of the enclosure- and operating section-side mounting sections 51 and 52 is constituted so that the operating section 24 is rotated with respect to the enclosure 10 in a state where the operating section 24 is fitted to the enclosure 10.
