PURPOSE: To provide a board for furniture using a material wood board and a method for manufacturing the same, which is able to prepare a protruding piece on one side of the material wood board from one piece of the material wood board without attaching a separate protruding piece to the material wood board. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (a) preparing a material wood board that has an adequate thickness and length; (b) after surrounding a portion of the material wood board with a predetermined shape, inclinedly cutting the surrounded portion from one side to an opposite side to make the cut portion be a protruding piece that is completely separated from the material wood board; (c) forming a pattern on one side of the protruding piece; (d) completely pushing the protruding piece into the cut portion to protrude the protruding piece at a regular thickness and form a concave portion at an opposite side of the protruding piece protruded direction; (e) attaching a contact portion of the protruding piece to the material wood board; and (f) installing an opening and closing plate having many perforated holes on the other side of the material wood board, which is opposite to the side where the protruding piece is formed.
