PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor with reduced iron loss, torque ripples and harmonic components within a no-load induced voltage. SOLUTION: This motor is provided with a rotor 10. A slot 14 is formed in the peripheral of the rotor 10. A straight line 12, connecting a deepest low point 15 from a peripheral surface 13 in the slot 14 and the center of the rotor 10 makes an electrical angleϕ, which is 40 or larger and 44°or smaller to the center line 11 of the pole which is the nearest to the low point 15. The torque ripples and the iron loss can be reduced by the slot 14. When the electrical angleϕis larger than 44°and smaller than 53°or less, the harmonic components in the no-load induced voltage can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
