FLUORORESIN POWDER AND MODIFICATION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a fluororesin powder into a state having an improved wettability and adhesive property without using any special raw material. SOLUTION: In a modification method for the fluororesin powder, the fluororesin powder 20 is subjected to plasma treatment to have its surface modified. The plasma treatment is performed in the presence of a mixed gas comprising argon and hydrogen, with the fluororesin powder 20 placed on a lower electrode 18 located inside a chamber 12 of a plasma treatment apparatus 11. When the fluororesin powder is intended to be added to a coating material forming a coating film that improves sliding property, the fluororesin powder 20 subjected to the plasma treatment preferably has an average primary particle size of≤5μm.
