<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency offset detection processing system, in which processings for majority determination and detected value transformation is performed before averaging processing, in order to improve detection accuracy, and to provide a frequency offset detection processing method using the system. <P>SOLUTION: A detected value for the amount of phase movement by a plurality of frequency offsets detected over a constant period is read from a frequency offset detection unit; a majority determining unit determines whether the detected value is a positive or negative, and tabulates it, to determine which is more between positive values and negative values; and a detected value transformation unit conducts transformation on the detected value for the amount of phase movement, according to the result of majority decision. An averaging processing unit adds the detected values for the amount of phase movement by a plurality of frequency offsets after transformation, to conduct dividing processing by the added number; a correction value calculating unit calculates the frequency offset from the amount of phase movement, after averaging processing; and a TCXO control unit corrects TCXO control, based on the calculated frequency offset. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
