<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a user is required to input a station name several times in a conventional service information retrieval system when the user wants to search information on stores or facilities around a station without knowing which station it is, and wants to retrieve information on stations in the travelling direction of the line being presently used in the order of proximity to the present position. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of nearest stations are extracted from the information on the present position of the user, and narrowed by the information on the line and the position.
