<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device such that a diffusion plate can be made lightweight and a lamp image on a light emission surface of the diffusion plate can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: This light emitting device 1 is equipped with a light source 13 behind the diffusion plate 12.
