<p>The connector (1) is for a main supply pipe (2), at a fitting (4), with at least one support sleeve (27). A press sleeve (5) can be given a plastic distortion, and is bonded to an insulation ring (6) at the inner end, which is transparent to give a view of the end of the supply pipe pushed over the support sleeve. The press sleeve has an axial grip through the insulation ring and is secured to the fitting so that it cannot become detached. Openings (10) in the press sleeve are near the insulation ring, to give a visual control before pressing home, and preferably the insulation ring material is injected through the openings.</p> |
