PURPOSE: A heat exchanger is provided to prevent foreign materials from being eroded in the heat exchanger, to restrict the leak and breakage of the heat exchanger, and to increase heat-exchanging capacity by filtering the foreign materials contained in a heat exchanging medium flowing into the heat exchanger with a filter unit installed at an inlet pipe disposed to a header tank. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger(100) comprises a pair of header tanks(101) composed of inlet and outlet pipes(107,108) connected with passage pipes(18,19) to suck in and discharge a heat-exchanging medium, and arranged parallel to each other at the constant gap; a plurality of tubes(102) for circulating the heat-exchanging medium by communicating the header tanks to each other; a core unit(104) comprising radiating fins(103) interposed between each tube to accelerate a heat-exchanging action of the heat-exchanging medium; and a filter unit(110) detachably mounted between the inlet pipe and the passage pipe to filter foreign materials contained in the heat-exchanging medium.
