The invention relates to a method for manufacturing an object of glass (G) with at least one three-dimensional figurine (F) enclosed therein. When using the method, an amount of glass having a desired temperature, at which the glass is soft, is introduced into a mould cavity (2) first. A figurine, which has been preheated to a temperature higher than that of the glass, is pressed into the glass. The amount of glass with the figurine present therein is pressed substantially to a desired shape and subsequently subjected to finishing operations. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method. |
