PURPOSE: A method and a device for offering a client-side local proxy object for a Java RMI(Remote Method Invocation) based system on a distributed object-oriented system are provided to adapt to a CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) protocol. CONSTITUTION: Remote test interfaces(122,124,126) are operated to communicate with an object-oriented server(120). A registry module(130) is related to the object-oriented server. The client-side local proxy object(106) processes information for the client(108), and is operated to communicate with the object-oriented server, the remote interfaces, and the registry module. A storage file(112) stores the information for the object-oriented server.
