The structural component, made from a composition support in the form of a textile matrix and a thermoplastic polymer bonding agent, has a surface covering complex made of a woven or knitted textile layer attached to a backing layer of a thermoplastic polymer material. The surface complex can be produced by extruding the backing layer onto the textile layer, or making the backing layer separately and heating it after applying to the textile layer. The structural component, made from a composition support (1) in the form of a textile matrix and a thermoplastic polymer bonding agent, has a surface covering complex (4) made of a woven or knitted textile layer (2) attached to a backing layer (3) of a thermoplastic polymer material. The surface complex can be produced by extrusing the backing layer onto the textile layer, or making the backing layer separately and heating it after applying to the textile layer. The covering layer is attached to the composition support by heating the latter to a temperature close to its melting point by infrared radiation, applying the covering layer to it and subjecting it to a pressure between a mould matrix and die that leaves them fastened together after cooling.
