PURPOSE: An opening and closing device of a flap door for a bus is provided to lock and unlock the flap door accurately by using an electromagnet converting polarity, and to open the flap door easily at the initial stage by adding auxiliary force. CONSTITUTION: A flap door is turned around a hinge, and a lifter unit is installed between the hinge and a vehicle body to keep the flap door open by compressive repulsive force. The flap door is locked to the vehicle body by a locking unit, and the flap door is opened by holding a door handle with a hand. The locking unit has a vehicle body electromagnet(11) installed in the vehicle body contacted to the end of the flap door, a door electromagnet(12) installed at the side of the flap door and faced to the vehicle body electromagnet with polarity different from polarity of the vehicle body electromagnet, a relay(13) installed between a battery and the door electromagnet to convert polarity of the door electromagnet selectively, and a shift button(7a) changing the polarity of the door electromagnet to be equal to the polarity of the vehicle body electromagnet by operating the relay.
