PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet jet device that detects presence or absence of abnormal ejection of a liquid droplet jet head, forms the history data thereof, predicts the occurrence of abnormality of the head based on the history data and can carry out a recovery operation according to the prediction. SOLUTION: This liquid droplet jet device comprises a head unit 35 consisting of the plurality of liquid droplet jet heads each having a diaphragm, an actuator, and a cavity, a head abnormality detecting means 10 for detecting a residual vibration of the diaphragm and detecting abnormality of the liquid droplet jet head based on the vibration pattern of the residual vibration, a viscosity detecting means 30 for detecting a viscosity of a liquid based on the vibration pattern, a history data forming means 40 for forming the history data of the waveform of the residual vibration, an abnormality predicting means 50 for predicting the occurrence of abnormality of the head based on the history data, and a recovery means 24 that performs the recovery operation for eliminating the abnormality of the head and preventively performs the recovery operation according to the predicted result.
