摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an electrooptical device that can suppress vertical luminance unevenness, and to provide the electrooptical device and an electronic device. SOLUTION: In a 1st subfield SF1 of each frame, a data signal 11 or 13 is written to a pixel, and in a 2nd subfield SF2, a non-data signal 12 or 14 which has the same polarity with the data signal and also has the largest voltage value is written to the pixel. During transition from the SF1 to the SF2, variation in potential to each signal line becomes small and a leak quantity of each pixel electrode potential becomes small. Further, black display (in case of a normally white mode) is made by writing the non-data signal and then a data signal whose polarity is different from that of the data signal of a last frame is written to the pixel. The black display is in a stable area of a V-T curve of liquid crystal and variation in transmissivity is small in spite of slight voltage variation, so during the transition from the SF2 to SF1 of a next frame, variation in transmissivity of liquid crystal at each pixel, i.e. variation in luminance becomes small.
