<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic speed measuring device capable of measuring with an excellent sensitivity and little attenuation of light by irradiating light from an electrode face. <P>SOLUTION: A transparent electrode 63 for structuring part of a cell wall of a cell 6 capable of confining a specimen, another electrode 62 for facing against the transparent electrode 63 are provided for the electrophoretic speed measuring device. Voltage is applied to the electrodes 62, 63 and light is entered into the cell 6 through the transparent electrode 63. Of scattered light from a specimen 6, scattered light which is scattered at a predetermined angle θ against an incident angle is received through the transparent electrode 63 and Doppler displacement is measured based on difference of frequency between incident light and emitted light. The direction of a scattering vector which is a difference between incident light and emitted light is approximately the same as the direction of a normal h to the transparent electrode surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
