<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause no troubles in laminated structures formed on a part where a groove is formed and on the other part where no groove is formed when wiring is buried in the groove formed on the substrate etc., as to an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: On a TFT array substrate (10), data lines, scanning lines, TFTs and pixel electrodes, and an inter-layer insulating film constituting a portion of the laminated structure of them are provided. The TFT array substrate has an image display area (10a) defined as the area for forming the pixel electrodes and TFTs, and in at least one of the TFT array substrate and inter-layer insulating film, the groove (GP) is dug surrounding the whole or part of the circumference of the image display area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
