PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact pump using a diaphragm, which is capable of drastically reducing leaks of noise caused by actuation sound of an outlet valve element. SOLUTION: In the compact pump 23, a pump case 24 equipped with a diaphragm (diaphragm body 30) forming pump chambers 28, 28, 28 and a motor case 20 equipped with a motor 13 are connected, an exhaust hole 17 is formed in the pump case 24, the diaphragm is actuated by the drive of the motor 13, and air is taken in the pump chamber 28 and discharged from the exhaust hole 17. Noise reducing means (air reservoirs 45, 45, 45 and narrow parts 47, 47, 47) are provided near the exhaust hole 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
