CHAMFERING WORK METHOD AND DEVICE OF SPECTACLE LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chamfering work method and a device of a spectacle lens for chamfering and working the spectacle lens so that width of a rear side bottom part of an edge surface on an overall periphery of a peripheral edge of the spectacle lens applied with lens edging work or recessing work becomes nearly the same. SOLUTION: Chamfering work is carried out by changing chamfering width Mw so that ratios of width of a front side bottom part (front side edge part F) and width of the rear side bottom part (rear side edge part B) become roughly the same around an edge crest part Y or a groove part (wire groove 38) of the edge surface applied with the edging work or the recessing work as their centers on the overall periphery of the peripheral edge of the spectacle lens.
