RHEOCASTING UNIT AND CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rheocasting unit in which steel or the like can be continuously cast by using a rheocasting method, and to provide a continuous casting method. SOLUTION: A rheocasting device 1 is provided with: two cooling rolls 4 and 4; side gates 5 provided on both end parts of the cooling rolls 4 and 4; and a tundish 7 to feed molten metal to a molten metal pool formed between the cooling rolls 4 and 4 and the side gates 5 and 5. A side gate side pathway to guide molten metal to the side gate 5 side of the molten metal pool and a central pathway to guide the molten metal to a central part between the side gates are provided as pathways 8 to guide the molten metal fed from the tundish 7 onto the molten metal pool. A temperature adjustment means 3 cools the molten metal fed from the pathway of the central part to the molten metal pool to a temperature lower than the liquid phase temperature, and sets the temperature of the molten metal fed from the pathway on the side gate side to a temperature higher than that of the liquid phase.
