PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry separator to be applied to gravity separation in a solid-gas fluidized layer, which can perform continuous separating operation, continuously remove precipitates and floats, and collect such precipitates and floats at high collection rates. SOLUTION: The dry separator is provided with: a separation bath, a means for supplying powders for fluidized layer formation to the separation bath, a means for supplying objects to be separated to the separation bath, an inclined air-permeable plate disposed at the lower part of the separation bath, a means for fluidizing powders by supplying air from the lower part of the air-permeable plate into the separation bath via the air-permeable plate, a means for discharging precipitates precipitated in the fluidized layer inside the separation bath to the outside of the separation bath, and a means for discharging floats floating in the fluidized layer inside the separation bath to the outside of the separation bath.
