PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop welding at a flange section outer surface section at the butt part of a sash member. SOLUTION: A thermosetting resin sheet 8 is inserted into the butt part of flange sections 7, 7'. Finishing work by an abrasive wheel, or the like, is made so that a part sticking out to the side of the flange sections 7, 7' is scraped off in this state. The thermosetting resin sheet 8 is cured by friction heat generated in the finishing work, thus joining the butt part between the flange sections 7, 7' and hence enhancing strength and stiffness at the junction section.
