<p>An apparatus 1 for mechanical wastewater cleanup has a mesh basket 5 or the like which is for separating off coarse matter 6 from the wastewater and is disposed between a wastewater feed 3 and a wastewater outlet 4. In order virtually simultaneously with the separation of the coarse matter, to allow this also to dry and digest, a digestion bunker 2 into which the wastewater feed 3 opens in the ceiling area and from which, in the bottom area, the wastewater outlet 4 departs, holds the mesh basket 5 which forms an inlet orifice 5a which is offset laterally with respect to the feed orifice 3a, a wastewater channel 7 being left free between the mesh basket 5 and the feed-side bunker wall 2a and the bunker bottom 2b and a screen 8 which covers the channel 7 and falls towards the mesh basket inlet orifice 5a, extending beneath the feed orifice 3a as outlet chute for the coarse matter 6. <IMAGE></p> |
