PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adverse effect on a photodetection type flow rate sensor as caused by the light from the light emitting element of the luminous water quantity display in a luminous water quantity display type electric pot equipped with the flow rate sensor. SOLUTION: In the electric pot, a delivery tube making up the vertical portion of a liquid path to a delivery port at the upper part of an inner container from the opening part at the bottom part thereof is made up of a transparent tube, the delivery tube and the liquid surface therein are made visually recognizable through a transparent window provided on the front of an outer case and the light emitting element is provided to irradiate the liquid surface in the delivery tube from below the delivery tube. The photodetection type flow rate sensor is connected to the upper end part of the delivery tube and a control part which executes the control to accomplish the automatic supply of the constant volume of hot water using the detection signals of the flow rate sensor while executing various controls covering the lighting control of the light emitting element executes the extinguishing or dimming of the light emitting element when the operation is made for the hot water supply operation or the supplying of hot water (steps #105 to 106).
