PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for efficiently manufacturing a high polymer optical waveguide at a low cost. SOLUTION: A mask 10 for forming a waveguide is placed on a substrate, and a core layer consisting of a clad layer made of a 1st light transmissive high polymer resin and/or a 2nd light transmissive high polymer resin is formed by a stencil printing method. The mask 10 for forming the waveguide is provided with one or more patterns 12 for forming a long size waveguide on a metallic plate 11, and the pattern 12 for forming the waveguide comprises a plurality of pattern opening parts 12a arranged along the longitudinal direction, and bridges 12b arranged between the pattern opening parts 12a and 12a, and the pattern opening part 12a is not provided with meshes.
