An LCD and a driving method thereof are provided to control a storage capacitor by supplying different voltages to a storage electrode and a common electrode. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(50) includes an LC cell, a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) and a storage capacitor. The LC cell is driven by an electric field between a pixel electrode and a common electrode. The TFT is connected to the pixel electrode. The storage capacitor is for maintaining voltage of the LC cell. A common voltage supply unit(56) supplies common voltage to the common electrode. A storage voltage supply unit(58) supplies storage voltage to the storage electrode. |
