<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new solid electrolyte with little fuel crossover and capable of attaining a high output, and to provide a direct type fuel cell or the like with high performance using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The solid electrolyte is composed of fine particles having at least an ionic group on the surface, and advantageously, the fine particles are made of an organic polymer as a main component. As preferable ion groups, a sulfonic group, sulfate acid group, phosphonic acid group, phosphate group, carboxylic acid group or the like are recommended. The solid electrolyte is suitably used for the direct type fuel cell or the like using 1C to 3C alcohol, dimethyl ether, or aqueous solution thereof, as an electrolyte film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
