<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording material and an image recording method by which convenient and rapid processing can be performed without using a liquid such as water, and in particular, the image recording material which is reduced in blurring of an image when the recording material after forming the image is stored under a high-temperature condition and the method for recording the image. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording material which has at least a coloring material feeding layer having an image forming coloring material or its precursor on a substrate and a coloring material fixing layer stacked on the coloring material feeding layer, is characterized in that the image is formed by moving the coloring material to the coloring material fixing layer by corresponding to or by reversely corresponding to an amount of energy fed in an image-like way to the image recording material, and the coloring material in the coloring material fixing layer is immobilized by an energy fed in a non-image-like way to the image recording material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
