PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary applicator not allowing contamination with foreign matters. SOLUTION: The applicator 10 for applying cosmetics, a product used in dermatology, or the like is equipped with a reservoir 30 with a means 310 for attaching the applicator 10 to the finger on a first side 31, and has an applicator part 20 on a second side 32 opposite from the first side of the reservoir. The applicator part is separated from the reservoir before the first use of the applicator, and a means 41 for enabling the reservoir to communicate with the applicator part by the operation at least at the first use of the applicator is provided.
