<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision body discrimination device for a vehicle which can precisely discriminate a pedestrian from an injury object having a variety of forms and properties, while preventing device constitution from being complicated. <P>SOLUTION: A front side sensor 1 is provided on the front side of a bumper 3, and a back side sensor 2 is provided on the back side thereof, in which the pedestrian is precisely discriminated from the other body, by the combination of binary output levels of both the sensors 1 and 2 when collision occurs and by the shift of the on-times or the on-time lasting degrees of both the sensors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
