PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which allows easy discharge of the mud and sand accumulated within an oil-water separator. SOLUTION: The oil-water separator 10 equipped with oil-water separation compartments 11 formed with flat water discharge canals 19 along wall surfaces by attaching passage forming members 20 having channel shaped sections to partition walls 12 and utilizing their wall surfaces as portions of passages is provided. In the oil-water separation compartments 11, the passages 19 for guiding the already separated effluents 3 upward in the state of hardly overhanging into the compartments can be formed and the maintenance space for operators to enter the compartments and to carry out work can be widely assured.
