<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space saving information terminal device using an easy character input method and an information selection method. <P>SOLUTION: An operator's head is captured by a camera of the information terminal device that is hand-held and freely movable, and a movement of the information terminal device relative to the operator is detected from the position of the head in the image of the camera obtained by digital image processing. A key of a virtual keyboard displayed in the terminal by the numerical data or a group of pieces of information is selected tentatively, and then confirmed by hitting a key provided on the information terminal device or a virtual key on the display, thereby allowing the character input and the information selection with a single key. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
