<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably treat pet's excrement, without injuring pet owner's health nor pet's health, and to prevent environmental pollution from being caused. <P>SOLUTION: An excrement treating material is formed by coating surfaces of a granular core material 1 with an excrement absorbing material 2, wherein the granular core material 1 consists mainly of paper sludge formed out of waste paper or a waste product of virgin pulp, waste plasterboards occurring on the occasion of demolishing houses or waste plasterboard paper collected from a waste product of the plasterboard. The granular core material 1 is given by adding methyl cellulose, bentonite and a carbonized material such as activated carbon, as granulation accelerating agents thereto. The excrement absorbing material 2 contains at least any one of a wood powder and a paper powder, magnesium chloride and methyl cellulose, and further may contain a deodorizing agent, an antibacterial agent and a pigment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
