PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow easy winding and improve the yield to the maximum when manufacturing the iron core of a rotor of a rotary electric machine by helical winding. SOLUTION: In the rotor iron core of a rotary electric machine, a plurality of teeth constituting a magnetic circuit are formed on one side of a band-like sheet while a protruding/recessing part 20 is formed on the other side across a connection part which is to be the magnetic circuit. The protruding/recessing parts of two sheet materials 1 and 2 are made to face each other so that recessed parts and protruding parts engage with each other.
