PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a computer, to which data are inputted, to process the data by converting words and phrases including a plurality of words in a high speed to another data including one kind of information specified by a plurality of the words concerned. SOLUTION: A basic word dictionary 14 comprising words, a core name dictionary 16 comprising two-word sets and a full name dictionary 18 comprising sets of the symbols of the two-word sets concerned, other words and objective data are symbolized on a main memory 12 with a memory address as a symbol. An address corresponding to a word included in the words and phrases to be converted is obtained by referring to the basic word dictionary thus symbolized. A set in which two addresses (one is a key) accord is found among the addresses from the core name dictionary 16 thus symbolized, and then a set which accords with another address is found from the full name dictionary 18 and converted to the objective data.
