PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a printing speed by shortening a drying standby time of ink. SOLUTION: In a printing device which has a printing means for carrying out printing by discharging the ink to a medium, and a reversing means for reversing front and rear faces of the medium to be printed by the printing means, a standby time for drying the ink discharged to the medium is set before reversing of the medium by the reversing means. The standby time is set in accordance with an amount of the ink discharged by the printing means, and a time elapsing after the ink is discharged by the printing means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
