<p>Production of injection, press, stamping and/or casting mold tools, as well as prototypes from models comprises roughening of surface of model without chemical pretreatment, application of an intermediate layer of copper or nickel onto the model surface by a process other than thermal spraying, chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition or laser treatment, application of a metallic or ceramic covering by thermal spraying. A process for the production of injection, press, stamping and/or casting mold tools, as well as prototypes from models comprises: (a) roughening of the surface of the model without chemical pretreatment; (b) application of an intermediate layer of copper or nickel onto the model surface by a process other than thermal spraying, chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition or laser treatment; (c) application of a metallic or ceramic covering onto the intermediate metallic layer by thermal spraying and; (d) removal of the model from the intermediate layer.</p> |
