PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new omnidirectional detection type linear switch, achieving high responsive short-circuiting even if pressed from any direction, which can be used as a wire or rope switch by inserting a wire or rope, or as a grip switch with inserted into a handle. SOLUTION: The omnidirectional detection type linear switch which is provided with a long length insulation inner cylinder, and an insulation outer cylinder with the same length coaxially arranged outside the inner cylinder with a certain space, is characterised in that each two electrode surfaces are provided on the surfaces of the inner and outer cylinder, facing each other with two equal spaces, and the inner and outer electrode surfaces are connected one by one with each of conductor bridges provided on the two equal spaces.
