The sealing element (1) for sealing of design gaps or working gaps in a structure has a hollow base component (2) which on the outer face has several ribs extending along the longitudinal axis (3) and formed as gap guide ribs (5) and sealing ribs (4). The guide ribs are constructed with means of fastening which are simultaneously an orientation aid for the installation of the sealing element in the structure. Several fastening means in the form of holes are spaced apart in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the base component. An independent claim is included for a concreted wall in which is embedded the sealing element.
