<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to press a switch on a switch box and view a lighting power LED and a blinking hard disk LED to provide the same conventional use of a personal computer, as a personal computer body is placed under a desk, and a monitor, a keyboard, an external DVD drive and the switch box are placed on the desk. <P>SOLUTION: An extension switch for a desktop personal computer is so constructed that an intermediate connector (2) is set on a personal computer case (1) and connected to a power switch terminal, a power LED terminal and a hard disk LED terminal on a motherboard in the personal computer case (1), and that the intermediate connector (2) and the switch box (3) (or a peripheral device on a desk, such as a monitor, an external hard disk, an external DVD drive or a keyboard, alternatively integrated with a power switch, a power LED and a hard disk LED) are connected with an extension cord (4).
