REAL-TIME CONTENT EDITING METHOD, SYSTEM AND PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize real-time encoding into MPEG-4 VO by performing encoding processing corresponding to a CPU power.

SOLUTION: Editing processing is performed with a number of images and/or sounds including live video distributed on the Internet as material, and they are distributed to a plurality of users. The editing system is provided with a plurality of video cameras as input devices, a plurality of distribution modules each of which selects one of a plurality of encoding algorithms, uses an encoding standard for encoding to encode and distribute input images from the video cameras, a receiving module for receiving and indicating the images, and at least one editing module. In accordance with performance of a machine to be used, each of the distribution modules changes a kind of a video object plane VOP to be used and its use frequency to select the encoding algorithm of high compression efficiency.
