<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interoperable voice and a data wireless network. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless infrastructure provides cellular/PCS service, such as outgoing call and distribution for a roaming mobile device. In the case of call distribution, an in-area network tracks the location of a roaming user and an in-area location register VLR reports the position information to a home location register HLR of a home network via a control network. A certification center AC in the home network is used for registration and certification of the user. When a call is relayed from a public switched telephone network PSTN to a home mobile communications switching center MSC, the home MSC refers to the HLR, to decide the current location of a subscriber, e.g., the current serving/in-area MSC, and then the call is transmitted to the in-area MSC, which currently provides service to the mobile device, via a link and the PSTN. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
