PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric ultrashort pulse amplifier which easily amplifies an ultrashort electric pulse where a pulse width reaches an order of pico second without requesting extreme transistor performance whose gain cut-off frequency ranges from a few hundred GHz to a few hundred THz. SOLUTION: A pulse amplifier arranges a voltage variable capacity on a transmission line in a distributed way, which is provided with applied voltage dependency when a voltage value is equal to or greater than a specified threshold voltage Vthand a voltage variable capacity which takes a constant value when the voltage value is equal to or smaller than the specified threshold voltage Vth.
