PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor comprising a chip body formed by sintering a multilayer body produced by laying a first sheet provided with a first internal electrode pattern abutting against the first side edge of a ceramic green sheet having first and second side edges, and a second sheet provided with a second internal electrode pattern abutting against the second side edge alternately in layers, and having a first side face electrode connected with the first internal electrode of first internal electrode pattern and a second side face electrode connected with a second internal electrode of the second internal electrode pattern, in which missing of capacity is eliminated. SOLUTION: The first internal electrode pattern is provided with a first lateral extension extending along the first side edge so that it can be connected with the first side face electrode. The second internal electrode pattern is provided with a second lateral extension extending along the second side edge so that it can be connected with the second side face electrode.
