<p>PURPOSE: A method for connecting a video source to a video display is provided to connect the video source and a connector to the video display and automatically determine whether the video source is an analog video source or a digital video source and whether the video display is an analog video display or a digital video display. CONSTITUTION: A connector is connected with a video source and a video display. It is automatically determined whether the video source is an analog video source or a digital video source. Then, it is automatically determined whether the video display is an analog video display or a digital video display. When the video source is the digital video source and the video display is the digital video display, the connector connects a double end-to-end connector having a main channel and a supplementary channel providing a plurality of packet-based communication channels between the video source and the video display.</p> |
